Digimon Adventure (movie)

This movie tells the story of how the original eight Chosen Children first encountered a Digimon.

One night in 1995, a DigiTama comes out of Taichi and Hikari’s computer, which later hatches into Botamon and slowly evolves to an oversize Agumon, though the Digimon doesn’t talk the way Taichi’s future Agumon partner does. (Whether this is the same Agumon remains unclear.)

During the night, Hikari and Agumon head outside through the window, and Taichi chases after them. When a huge DigiTama in the sky hatches Parrotmon, Agumon and the new Digimon face off, as if Agumon knew Parrotmon was coming.

During the fight, many children watch from the nearby apartment buildings, including Yamato, Sora, Koushirou, Mimi, Jou, and Takeru, the six of whom become the other Chosen Children.

Agumon evolves into Greymon and, with the help of Taichi and Hikari, defeats the bird Digimon, but when the battle is over, both Digimon have disappeared.
